Venice's say bye bye to Diaper

Venice's is diaper free. Few month again, during a nap, I forgot to let her wear diaper. She did not wet herself & is able to control till she woke up. I use this opportunity to praise her & she start with no diaper during nap.

Beginning December, Teacher Lilian told me that she will train them to be diaper free next year and she teaches me how to train her to go diaper free at night. So I though it might be good to train her. I convince her to go diaper less to sleep, every 3 hrs, wake her up carry her to the loo to pee, she will whine & whine refuse to get up. 1st few feel days was sleepless night, I got the fear that I will forgot to wake up & my bed will turn into water bed.

Subsequently I reduce to 1 pee at 4am. Todate she will wake up & pee at 6am. Within this month, she miss 2 time, pee on bed because mummy never dig her up to loo.

My New Office : )

Finally we move. Since I joined is Aug 2007, this is the 2nd time I move office. from 1st floor to 6th floor. This round we move to a newly build Annex. We had a hard time packing n unpacking. At last all settled...We are ready to work.

I love the pantry. Have the type of feeling that we are living in a bunglow. Very relaxing.

When I bring Venice to my new office. She ask mummy why you change work? keekee.

TTSH HR Division Christmas Celebration

Christmas Party was a big event which will be plan 3mth ahead, We will have committee set up, mainly those join in the year. We will have Christmas decoration, dress theme, door gift , gift exchange, games , lucky draws & food. Invitation extend to our kids. Our party start at 9.30 am to 12.30pm.

This year we won the 1st prize for our Christmas decoration competition again 23 other department. Thumb up to our committee for spending days on the set up.

Our dress theme is back to school days. We sing nation anthem, pledge and play old school games, e.g five stone, Zero Point. etc etc.... few competing games that add up to which team will be the winner. Although our team did not win, but is fun to participate.

Venice has great fun enjoying her self with the kids. Running around my office collecting present.

Christmas Celebration @ Learning Vision

The party start at 6.30 ending at 9.30pm. Started off with opening speech, follow by dinner, then games & performances. N2 ( Venice & classmates) sing Jingle Bell for the event. Venice want me to partipate in games, but no chance...mummy is always slow.

Venice was very cranky, she is tired, so we left shortly after her performance.

3 Day Hoilday Camp " The adventures of Rainbow Fish and Friends

Day 1 Rainbow Fish, share your scales! 17 Dec 09

Children will watch an exciting dramatisation of " Rainbow Fish" using puppets and props, and create Rainbow Fish characters using a variety of air materials provided. Our young friends will also enjoy a sensorial hands on cooking activity as they prepare fishy bites for everyone. After engaging in a Rainbow Fish role-play session, they will assemble some craft from their aquarium book.

Children will sit back and enjoy a suspenseful dramatisation for Rainbow Fish finds his way using puppets, props and music and create new characters from this story through engaging craft work. Children Will also experience how Rainbow Fish gets lost in the storm through a fun and senatorial water experiment. A Challenging concentrationg game then follows to collect all rainbow fish friends.

Day 3 : Here comes the whales! 22 Dec 09

Children will be introduced to the final story in the series. Rainbow Fish and the big blue whales through a role play activity. They will learn a fun under the sea dance and challenging obstacle course to retrieve all the krill, which were accidentally driven away by the whale. Each story teaches your child important values which help to character development.

Venice's N2 Curriculum at Learning Vision

After withdrawing Venice out from Learnign Vision on end Nov, I feel sad whenever I drop V off her CC. Watching her enjoying so much in school, make me wonder did I make a wrong decision. She has express to me that she wish to continue at CC with her friends & teacher.

After some thoughts I decided to let Venice stay put at Learning Vision for another year & see how is her progression in term of academic. Meanwhile will send her nursery Mandarin & Phonic enrichment class. Thank god, principal Girijia willing to accept Venice back.

Christmas Celebration @ Aunty Ethel House

I want bring Vera to the party, she is always left out, so I take up my challenge to drive all the way to SK. Thanks to Ethel direction, I make my way there within 30min. ..yeppie. It has been at least 7 years since I last drove so far..keekee.

This is also Vera 1st party event, she was very happy roaming around playing with the toys and friends. She has stranger anxiety , refuse anyone to handle her.

.

The aunties have a wonderful time chit chatting n munching non-stop. This is the 1st round, we cook western delight. Not bad ya..... Oh n we celebrate Serena birthday ...she is a christmas baby : )

.

We left earlier at 6pm worry that if the sky turn dark, I might loss my way.

Christmas Light up @ ORchard

Brought the girls to enjoy the Christmas lighting at Orchard. We park our car at Novena, take a train down to Orchard , walk to somerset , the train back to Novena to pickup our car.

Vera was very unco-operative, She refuse to sit stroller and insist on walking. The street is so crowed so is hard for the little beannie to walk. We have to grab her , pull her & force to keep her at our arm. Is a tough trip.

.

Although this year lighting was not fantastic , but Venice is able to appreciate it.

Dinner at Passier @ Marina Sq before daddy fly off

Counting down to another 5 hours, daddy will be on plane. We had our dinner at Passier Marina Square..a treat from Kwang . I still dont like the idea of eating buffet, really unhealthy and sinful.

After the food, we went for a short walk before going home to rest. Daddy need to catch morning flight. Venice need to go school, mummy need to work.

Takecare daddy..n quickly come home. We miss U.

Baby Zayden Day 2

While the kids attending their lesson at Act 3. We sneak away to visit Michelle & baby Zayden. Zayden was so handsome, everyone take turn to handle him...hmmm except me. I loss my confident in handling new born. Better dont touch...keekee

Act 3 - Sunday with Us

We wake Venice up, rush down to carnhill to meet her friends. Venice refuse to go in without me, so I follow her into the class for a while.

After the class, when I ask Venice whether she want to come again. Her reply is No. Is boring, alot of dancing & jumping around. Some are princess & some are frog. Some kids crying for mummy.

.

I have sign her up for a trial class speech & drama on 3 Jan 2010. Shall see whether she want to attend nearer the date.

.

After class we went Vivo, to grab daddy shoes. Daddy is going China again tomm.

Bebe Ballet Class Lesson 5

Timeflies is lesson 5. Going to pay for the next term soon. Over the weeks, venice co-ordination has improved alot. Venice enjoy the class & looking forward to every lesson with teacher Ivy.

Jungle Book Play with her LV's classmates

Singapore Repertory Theatre’s The Little Company proudly presents The Jungle Book, a new play with music by Michael Corbidge. This unique adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale takes children on a fun-filled adventure through the jungles of India with the young boy Mowgli, and reinforces respect for life, embracing differences and the idea of harmony for all living things.

The 2nd play V is watching. Venice keep nagging few days before the date that she is going to watch jungle book with her friends. Reminding what to prepare for her during the play. Her jacket & her sling bag.

December LV don't have lesson. Is a month to let the kids change class, adapt to new teacher & environment. But there is alot of enrichment programme for them to attend. The next one V is going for a 3day Holiday camp- Rainbow fish on 17 , 21 & 22 December 2009.

@ Airport T3

After waterplay...our programme continue...

Venice riding a pooh bear after that we meet up with daddy & drive all the way to airport T3 This is he game where the kids need to catch the pink ball when is open. N exchange for prizes. Venice is small in the group, so did not manage to win any.

Thers's the the giant air-filled play slide which is very fun. Each kid is only entitled to a 15mins slot to enjoy. We queue for 15min, Venice & Vera enjoy the slide so much. Tks to aunty peiling for the lobang & I steal your photo..keekee

We had our dinner at Crystal Jade Shanghai Restaurant. Both girls enjoy the noodles. 1st time seeing Venice can gulp in a bowl of noodle empty the soup & request for 2nd helping.

Venice & Vera @ CCK waterplay

Christmas season, decided to bring the girls to various places that have fun for kids.

Brought them to lot one intend to let her watch the bubble show performance, but I remember the wrong date.

She decided to venture the water play and I am so proud of Venice, she has finally conquer the fear of splashing water. She is very careful not to make herself wet the scare face of the past has go

Vera was very excited, cant stop getting herself wet. I am so afriad that she will get a cold & yet she refuse to let us hold & cry when time to go home.

Dinner @ No Signboard with Auntie Janet & Rolf

Grandma is old & her health is deteriorating. Aunty Janet will make a trip every year end to visit her mum. This year we gather at Vivo No signboard for dinner. Is not a good choice cause the carpark is full due to Christmas season. We have to park very far and walk over.

.

The ambient & service was good but food was quite disappointing for the amount we have to paid. But is a nice get together since we last met in year 2008.

.

The christmas deco at Vivo is very pretty.

BarNey Show @ United Square

Me & claudine apply 1/2 day leave specially to bring Venice & Melody to watch their favourite barney. Crazy me, the show start at 2pm. But we start queueing at 12.30pm in order to exchange the photopass to take picture with barney & friends.

Venice was very co-operative.

After the show, we have lunch at Swensen. The kids become good friend, enemy then good friend again...drive the mummies crazy.

Reach home at 5pm, Venice was so tired....nap till 7pm.

IMM PlayGround

Daddy is back from china. Recently Vera love to go playground. Bug daddy to bring them to IMM to play.

Shopping @ ViVo CiTy

Brought the kids to Vivo but vera was too cranky.....we shop for a while , eat dinner then rush home.

LV CC or Christian Gospel Mission Kindy

Since I decided to engage a maid after my mum went for operation. It has been in my mind whether to continue her at childcare at TTSH LV or CJM kindergarten which I have paid deposit before she go CC.

.

Reason I should let her continue- She love going childcare & enjoy her friend. CC have lots of excursion , programme, celebration. Is so fun, she is enjoying herself

.

I like the environment, all teacher are very friendly, food is yummy with variety ,I like the way they nurture the kids, all her classmate are so adorable.

.

We have lots of parent - teacher involvement, we get update monthly.

.

Is an idea all rounded childcare, nothing I can complaint.

But my concern is what if I change job in the middle of her school term? Venice will be affected. If I am on medical or leave she cant attend school due to the distant. After attending CC, maybe she is tired or insecure or maybe is terrible 3. She change alot. Very unreasonable, throw tantrum everyday, need 101% of attention.

After Meet The Parent session at LV, i decided to stay put, but yesterday after a hard time dealing with Venice, I decided to attend CGM orientation , then decided which Nursery school for her.

.

CGM is a church kindy with 30years of history since 1969, they are academic driven and vision aim to train every child in the way they should go so that when they grow up, they will not turn from it.

.

All the teachers look quite strict & middle age. The parent are separated from the child 30min for briefing session. After that I ask Venice whether she want to study here. Her reply is YES. Since she agreed, I decided on CGM and pay the school fees for the term, book school bus & buy uniform

.

When we reach home, Venice say that she want to continue LV childcare. faintz....I need to slowly convince her about the chance of school.

West Coast Park PlayGround

Daddy brought a new donald duck kite, evening we decided to go west coast park to fly kite. When we reach there Venice want me to go playground with her. When we are back to the field looking forward to the the kite up the sky.

.

Sad news is we loss 2 kite. The donald duck kite stuck on the tree & the Owl Kite break in the air, fall down and hit passby. 100 dollar gone.

.

But Venice & Vera have a great time today with daddy.

Aunty Shirley is a great chef, her hong zhao chicken & popian is so yummy. We have a great time gather together & chit chat. It has been many years since I eat home make popian.

A typical weekend without daddy

Daddy new job required him to be out of town quite often. I havent build up my confident in driving them out.

This is how me & kiddo spend our weekend. Morning, go out for breakfast. Bring them to playground for some fun. Shop around at Lot 1. By the time we reach home is noon.

The 2 kiddo have their lunch, play together awhile then take their nap. Wake up play again, evening have dinner then continued to play till time to sleep.

My freedome is gone...keekee

Vera understand the word "PLayGround", when I ask her ...Vera u want to go playground? she will smile happily & node her head, push her backside toward the door. Is time to go out for fun.

Vera also love Car Ride. They will fight to sit. To save cost, I need to fight a car that can sit 2 kiddo.

I use this opportunity to teach her to recognise A-Z and write some simple letter L I T V O W M X r n. Number - able to recognise 1 to 10. Better food intake, not so choosy and take fruit. More independent. LoVe to go school , enjoy her peer & teacher.

Gross Motor she is willing to try new experiences which her friend is scare during outdoor.

Fine Motor -Venice can colour within the picture, Cutting & pasting according to shape & requirement. She can hold pencil accurately.

Physical Development is within her milestone. She can walk backward with her right leg follow by left . She is able to pedalled the tricycle around the circumference of the playground.

Cognitive Development Venice is able to identify the number 2. She is able to listen , sing and follow actions of a song.

Emotional / Social Development - Venice is friendly to her peer, she greet her peer and willing to play with them, she also seeks her friend opinion, however she need more encouragement to speak out during play.

Overall Teacher Lilian comment that Venice was within her milestone, not much of concern, however she was rather quiet , she is attentive and do participate in class during lesson. But she seldom speak up or ask question unless teacher ask her. She is very well behave and listen to instruction.

Chinese Teacher is on Hospitalisation Leave, can only access when she is back to work.

N2 curriculum - Re enforce on Letterland phonic sound to build a strong foundation. More writing skill & workbook, tracing & writing of Letter & Number, recognising sight word and blending toward end of year. Teacher Lilian will continue to teach Venice class.

BeBe Ballet at Cestar

Brought Venice to take alook at existing ballet class. Venice express her interest in Ballet and promise she can be alone. Just nice Cestar conduct ballet class for kid at 3yrs old, so I sign her up.

The class dont allowed parent accompany. 1st lesson alot of kid crying for mummy.

.

Venice was very independant, enjoy herself with the teacher in class, while I wait for her outside. Her Ballet Teacher is Ivy a very pretty and patient lady.

This is her 2nd lesson. Order the outfit, in 2 week time she will look like a little swan.

VeRa LoVes her PlayHouse. She dont know how to build but enjoy crawling , walking around the end product and playing her toy inside the playhouse.

Windy ..BiG KiTe Up HiGh

Daddy brought few big kite from china. Today is windy ,we manage to fly them up very high. We catch some kid attention cause is the biggest kite in sky today.

Hard time keeping it cause is very heavy, daddy hand got cut by the line. Next time need to wear a gloves.

Venice best friend is Mummy

Venice was closer to me after attending ChildCare, she will demand more cuddle time and need me by her side and carry her often. When she is in bad mood, she will be very obsessive , refuse to let me handle Vera. I suspect is because of the long hr of independence in CC. So she demand lots or full of my attention when home.

.

After Venice n daddy moving over to Mum house, my freedom is totally gone. By time reach home is 7.30pm, Therafter bath & feed her, after dinner ,play toy together. 9.00pm prepare to sleep, brush teeth, put on pamper for her , reading time & last milk. By the time she sleep is around 10.30 to 11pm, I am too exhaused and felt into dreamland too.

Well but guess all this effort do pay off, when I ask Venice who she love most during our pillow talk session, her reply was MUMMY without any doubt.

,

V reply : Me & mummy are Partner, good friend & buddy, everyday mummy n neece take Mrt together, mummy go work, Ah neece go childcare, then mummy fetch me, we take train home together. Mummy pom pom me, feed me play with me & make me sleep. We are Partner. I Love mummy.

.

I feel so touch over the conversation and feel so bad that I keep complainting that I have no time for myself. Guess that is motherhood.

Zoo Trip & Music for the Intelligent Mind Performance

Today is a busy & exciting day for Venice, Morning reach school at 8am, they are going off at 9am to Zoo for excursion, evening they have performance & Meet the parent session with the Music teacher.

.

It was a simple performance where the teacher play keyboard n the kid follow rhythms & beat to make action. They are so happy singing & co-ordinating the beat together.

.

Have a few min talk with teacher. She say V is doing well although she is here only for few lesson. She can follow and sing very well.

.

While bring V home, she was bubbling about her day at the zoo, what animal she see, what she like and she take the tram. She have a follow up activitiy to complete " a turkey" and bring on 13 Nov 09.

VeRa Birthday Prezzie "BiG Block"

Vera birthday prezzie finally arrival, I order through BP forum 3 week ago. The big block was very big n fun. There are instruction to build 16 different set up. The person that really enjoy is Venice. Everyday we will build a different set up to play. Vera enjoy herself crawling in n out of the set up.

Home Along with Venice & Vera Day 2

Morning pheng came to bring Venice out. Venice was very happy seeing her godaddy. Greet me bye bye and left for the day. I brought Vera out for breakfast. After home, we go normal routine, nap, play, eat . Is the 1st time, I spend time alone with Vera. Taking care of 1 is more peaceful then 2..keekee........while Vera sleep I do housework.

.

Mum reach home around 2pm. She look tired. She have a tube at her neck to drain away dirty blood. She have to carry a glass bottle everywhere she go till Tuesday review.

.

It was much relieved to see her back. Everything is back on track.

Venice reach home at 7pm with lots of present, she have a great time with her godparent. She have an early night today. Vera turn & toss till quite late before she go in dreamland.

HoMe AloNe with Venice n VeRa Day 1

Day 1 - Hmm...mummy no confident to manage 2 kid at home alone. Venice was very sticky and jealous girl, I scared she don't allowed me to handle Vera. So decided to bring Venice to Childcare.

,

Kwan & Grace send us in morning to drop Venice off at Childcare before Kwan work. Venice cry when I drop her off cause she know that I am not working.

,

We had breakfast at Han , thereafter we go for Orchard to walk around. Vera was very guai sitting in pram while we shop around. Decided to go home during noon, on way taking train, we decided to fetch Venice home. Venice was so delighted to see us. She promise mummy that she will be good girl, will help mummy take care of VeRa, will not fight or push Vera.

Venice really keep her promise, reach home, Venice play on her own while I make Vera nap. She dose off on her own. After both girl sleep I do housework. Evening Kwan fetch us to his house for dinner.

Mummy operation is very successful.

.

After dinner, I play with both girl. Vera has always been sleeping with Ah ma & Venice with me. Today Vera will sleep with me while Venice on the floor. Is so generous of jie jie to let go her place for mei mei. And Venice is very understanding , she allow me to pat Vera while she sleep on her own. Vera didn't sleep very well turn and toss.

A tiring day but managable. I doze off very fast.
